“Being here is like a visual experience, like being in a movie. The sounds of the walruses for example. The sounds are more basic, so they touch you more. It’s really different up here. The big distances; you can see really far. Everywhere you look it is very different. You never get bored of it, you always find something new and something nice to look at. The different patterns of light make the landscape completely different in the morning than in the evening for example. Sometimes it feels like being in a drawing. Like a fantasy movie. I really don’t miss the bigger plants or trees.”
